As of 5 a.m., Monday, strong winds associated with tropical depression Quinta affected the western and northern seaboards of Luzon. Quinta was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 430 km west of Dagupan City while moving south slowly. Maximum wind was at 55 kph near the center. Meanwhile, an intertropical convergence zone was affecting southern Visayas and Mindanao.

It will be located among the background stars of the constellation Leo, the Lion. The planet will be seen 17 degrees from the eastern horizon. On the same date, at around 6:00 PM, Venus and Mars will be located at 20 and 10 degrees above the western horizon and will be shining at magnitude -3.7 and +1.6, respectively. Venus will lie among the background stars of the constellation Libra, the Scales, while Mars will be found in the constellation of Virgo, the Virgin.
